Holy Week

Palm Sunday
March 28, Worship at 9:00 am & 11:00 am

The service will celebrate Jesus’ final trip to Jerusalem. The Children’s Procession with palms, along with the Sanctuary and Kirkwood Choirs will be part of the service.

Maundy Thursday
April 1, Worship at 7:30 pm
Sacrament of Holy Communion

Maundy Thursday is the anniversary celebration of the Lord’s Supper. Worship will focus on personally and solemnly remembering Jesus’ last evening with his disciples. The service will include the Sacrament of Communion and the ritual of removing religious items from the Chancel. The Chamber Chorale will be singing.

Good Friday
April 2, Service of Tenebrae - 7:30 pm

The service will feature scriptures, prayers, and music of the Passion featuring the Sanctuary Choir, the Cathedral Choir of Young Men and Boys, the Cecelian Carolers, and orchestra. This service is often referred to as “the service of darkness.”.

Easter Sunday
April 4, Services at 9:00 am & 11:00 am
Sacrament of Holy Communion

Celebration of the Resurrection Joy! Pastor Richard Miller will be preaching and the service will include the Sacrament of Communion. Easter Sunday special music will be provided by the select boys’ choir, the Cathedral Choir of Young Men and Boys, the select girls’ choir, the Cecelian Carolers, the high school Celebration Singers, and the Sanctuary Choir. The worship services will include 100 voices singing the “Hallelujah” chorus from the MESSIAH and the gospel favorite, “He Has the Power.” The music will be identical at both services of worship.
