Pastoral & Spiritual Care

Prayer Chain - The Prayer Chain connects those in need of prayer with church members who are committed to a ministry of prayer. Prayer requests may be sent to Scott Minteer at the church office and he will contact the prayer chain coordinator.

In Touch Ministries - Congregation members provide one-on-one visits to congregation members and friends who have difficulty leaving their homes. This ministry keeps homebound members "in touch" with the rest of the congregation.

Men's Prayer Breakfast Open to all First Presbyterian Church men, this group meets on the first Saturday of each month at 8:00 AM at the Village Inn on Elmore Ave., in Davenport. Call Bill Butcher (359-3717) more information.

Parish Nurse - The goal of the parish nurse program, a new Deacon ministry, is to help members stay well and to create a feeling of deeper caring throughout the church community. In cooperation with the pastors and the Health Ministry Committee, the parish nurse develops programs for wellness and disease prevention, visits hospitalized and homebound members, coordinates volunteers to care for church members in need, and connects church members with community resources and services. You may contact Barbara Yankey, Parish Nurse, for more information.
