FPC Scouts
100 Years of Scouting

Cub Scout Pack 7 and Scout Troop 7 are family-oriented, youth programs of Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) chartered by First Presbyterian Church. FPC has a 100-year Scouting tradition in chartering Scout Troop 7, while the Cub Scout Pack 7 is a recent addition. In line with FPC's commitment to inclusivity, both are co-ed, family oriented, and designed to help mature and develop youth.

Cub Scout Pack 7

Chartered by First Presbyterian Church of Davenport, Cub Scout Pack 7 is part of our longstanding commitment to children’s and youth development through Scouting. This adult-led organization welcomes boys and girls ages 5–10 (grades K–5) and engages them in outdoor exploration, STEM activities, and service to the Hilltop communities and surrounding area. Meeting on-site at our church every Tuesday at 6:00 PM, Pack 7 encourages Cub Scouts to grow in character, leadership, and community service—emphasizing kindness, respect, service to others, and standing up for what’s right. All boys and girls are welcome!

Scout Troop 7

Chartered by First Presbyterian Church of Davenport in 1926, Scout Troop 7 is one of the oldest and most established troops in the area, with a rich heritage and numerous accomplished alumni. Preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026, the troop continues a proud tradition of developing leadership, character, outdoor skills, and life skills in young people ages 11–18. Organized in patrols where older Scouts lead and mentor younger ones, Troop 7 is youth-led and adult-facilitated, focusing on outdoor adventures, community service, and preparing Scouts to be responsible members of society. The troop meets on Sunday evenings from 7:00–8:30 PM, with monthly weekend campouts and an annual week-long camping adventure.
